Unit 10 Blog

Hello again everyone. I would just like to say thank you to everyone who responded to my postings and everyone who has given me advise and words of encouragement. I think these things are especially important in the online learning environment. If I had any advise to give a student just entering this course I wold tell them to take it one week/day at a time. If you at all you have to do it looks overwhelming but in the end it works out great. I would like to send out a personal thanks to professor Pal for all of her dedication and support. I wish you all good luck in future courses and things to come. Best wishes.

Unit 9 Almost done. :)

I have not quite finished my paper at this point but I am very excited to be this far. It has taken a lot of hard work but I feel it will pay off in the end. I would like to tell all of my classmates that I am proud of all of you for making it this far. There are many other topics I would love to write on. I love writing more than I do anything else. I could do without the APA sometimes though lol. This course has been great and I want to give a special thanks to Professor Pal for being so helpful and supportive. Have a teacher who is 100% behind you is irreplaceable. Good luck to all and I hope to see you in the future.

Unit 8 blog. Will I continue to use the blog after the course?

I didn't really give it much thought to whether or not I would use the blog after the course ends. I probably will use the blog every once in a while. I think that it will be a great way for me to vent. It is not always easy to talk to people you know about school issues because they aren't in school and don't understand. I would also love to keep in touch with fellow classmates and see how they are doing. I feel like I am making great headway on my project. I cant believe how fast this course has flown by. Peer Reviews Unit 7

Hello again everyone. I have chosen to write about giving and receiving peer reviews. I think that peer reviews are the best thing ever. I think that it gives you more chances to correct the things that are not mastered yet. It is ok to have family read your essay but will they really give you an honest opinion? I feel better getting feedback before turning it in to the professor. I think that when giving peer reviews you can be polite but constructive at the same time. I am one of those people who used to get my feeling hurt when I was told there was something wrong with my paper. Now I find that people aren't being rude or trying to hurt your feelings they are trying to help. I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Good-bye for now.

Unit 6

I feel that the research I am doing will hopefully get a head start on helping people to realize that people with bipolar disorder are not crazy. They are less fortunate people who got stuck with a disease like high blood pressure or diabetes. If a person with bipolar disorder can stay on their medications they can have a fully functional life. On the other hand it is really hard to get them to stay on their medications. I just think that there isn't very much education in society on the subject. I have personally had to deal with someone who has the disorder. It can be really difficult for the family and the sufferer. These are my hopes for this topic. Have a great week everyone. :)

Unit 5 How school is affecting my life.

School has had a really big impact on my life. I love being in school. It gives me a sense of accomplishment. In high school I did not care what grades I would get. Now I cant even go a day without going crazy waiting for my grades. I feel a little stressed for time sometimes, but I know that it will all be worth it in the end. I want a better life for my family and I love to learn about the body and the whole medical field in general. I know that sometimes I do not give my family as much attention as I used to but I think they understand what I am trying to accomplish. I put forth my best effort because I want to be successful. I do not pay for school to slack off or goof around. I take my schooling very seriously and I love it. Until next time, have a great week.

Plagerism Unit 4

It s funny how much things change when you go from high school to college. I'm not sure if It was just mine or all over, but my teachers were not big on paying attention to plagiarism. It was always my understanding that if you didn't write word for word what the book/article said, than you were not plagiarising. Since I have been attending Kaplan University I have learned a lot about plagiarism. I am not sure how I would feel if someone took credit for my work. I would probably be a little upset. If it was for their personal use I don't think it would be a big deal. However if they tried to publish something that was mine that would be a different story. I now understand and know that I need to cite all information that I get from another person and give them credit. The more I use APA the more comfortable I get with using it. New Unit 3 blog. How do I feel as an online student.

Hello everyone. Sorry but I misunderstood the directions for the blog. So here is a new post. I love being an online student. As a mother of 2 I feel like being gone at a campus would just be too time consuming. I think that to make it a little more personal we should all have to post a picture so we know who we are too. It could just me me but I am a visual learner and I love pictures. I also think that it would be cool if we had to do buddy projects or assignments. That way we could get to know our fellow classmates a little better. I wouldn't change anything about how the classes are set up I think they are amazing. I also love how we all kinds of support and resources available to us. I have not yet had a Professor that was not kind and willing to do anything to help me succeed. Unit 3 Blog

Hello Eveyone. I am very excited to start working on this paper. I will be writting on bipolar disorder. There are a lot of people out there that don't truly understand this disorder. Some people think that it means the person is really depressed or crazy. There is really a lot more to it. I was really happy when the professor told me that I have a great thesis. To me the thesis is what helps you to put your whole paper together. Its like directions almost. I hope that you all have a fun and safe Halloween. Talk to you later.

I would like to formally introduce myself. I am Amelia Glenn and I am 25. I have lived in Nevada all of my life. I enjoy capming and playing sports. I also love that I am in school. I have two wonderful children. Larissa is 8 and Calub will be 4 in a couple of days. I find it sometimes difficult to keep up with what life puts me through. Like thay say you need to roll with the puches and keep going. I thin that this blog will be a great thing for me. I feel like I will be able to express my feeling about life without hurting anyones feeling or getting judged. I would like to wish all of you a great week.
